Silage slippage

As I said they said it was a very high oil content in the grass , so the plan is to get it to 40%D/M and see how that works only ever had it on 2 farms
Are you sure they’d actually eat it? The only time we ever made 40% DM silage (not through choice) the cows just threw it around onto their passage because it was so light and wasted vast amounts. Got naff all milk off it either.

yes they eat it well as most people put a little water in the diet feeder with it.
