Straws going to be cheap eh @Forage Trader

About £20 up on last year!

What are yields looking like this year compared to 2016? as that is the important bit.

Those prices are similar to down here 3/4 years ago, straw was very short in 2016 winter but delivered in thru the winter has put a bottom in the trade that is actually less than buying it off field in the summer for some bizarre reason.

Winter Barley is not yielding well. A lot of crops not doing 1 ton an acre .price will harden

If you average 1t acre of WB straw that is a good average for anything other than the very best land/ largest fields.

WB straw yields down here are well over 1t acre this year and the best for some years it looks like.

I think straw will actually get cheaper between now and xmas.

It won't be cheap by the time you come and collect it from me!!!! Yields are appalling, baled approx. 1500 acres so far and not a bale left on the farm. Straw will be very short, fill you sheds now, if you don't please don't moan in the spring when it's expensive.
