Yea, they are always parked on the motorway between the Cully junction and JT 27 ( heading North ) waiting to pull in lorry's.

Did see them pulling in some fully loaded straw lorry's last spring.

Wouldn't pull many straw lorries going upwards :scratchhead:
Only the small amount that use Devon grain weighbridge.

I saw them pulling in one as it came off the roundabout heading onto the link road!
Change of mind there GUTH
Well at least it wasn't a weigh bridge ticket showing a gross weight that was 4 ton over the legal limit allowed for UK Roads...
And you have never taken a load over weight? Of course not you buy by the bale.

I didn't know if it was overweight or not. I am not upto speed with lorry weigh limits etc

Straw lorry’s are like a fffffing magnet to them, they had me there last year going round the o to take the link road then had a driver of mine 2 weeks ago coming onto the o from Tiverton, best get up early.

My straw was here before they had even thought about getting out of bed.

Must be a nightmare with straw/ hay etc weight wise as every baler is set different/ depends on how dry the crop is/ condition of crop etc.

Doesn't take many bales at 500 kilos to get over weight compared to some at say 350 kilos the same width/ length.

No change of mind, they pull lorry's in from both the motorway/ as they go around the roundabout and are heading onto/ off the link road.

You don't need to be clued up to road limits for Lorry's to know/ realize that the weight that load is would clearly be over weight!

Okay so say that lorry's brakes failed because it was overweight and hit a car with your loved ones in would you still think : whatever it doesn't matter it was over loaded by such a high tonnage because it was early in the morning so no risk of it being pulled in..
