Offered wheat straw in quads to local M/C ring at £90 tonne ex, they are now trading at £98 ! , might hold out for £110.....

Straw vendors get a real hard time & it is not fair. They have done the work & against all odds produced the product.
GUTH says vendors are greedy for holding stock back
My customers accuse me of been greedy for selling to people other than themselves.
WTF do you have to do.
First come first served , that's how it works here .
Buy it off the field , plenty of straw your way .

Ask them to sell you their cattle at 2 thirds of their market value because that's what they want us to supply the straw at. ( I've offered to do this but no takers yet.)

Should be no subsidy below 400 feet.
It is so hard farming in the uplands, with all the snow & wind we need all the help we can get.
