It would be a better thread if we could stick to learning about actual prices for collected or delivered commodities rather than still having to trawl through too many posts of personal squabbles spats and insults.
Exactly! All we want is an accurate price tracker. Have another thread for waffle.
Same goes for the beef and lamb tracker.

Ok, so....
Sedgemoor straw prices as I wrote them down - correct afaik

Straw, delivered price first 25m +£1/mile over as explained above.
Barley £128 - £130
Wheat £108 - £114
Wheat quads class 2200 baler £33/bale

Collected prices -
Round wheat straw - £23/bale
£16 - not sold (the only straw lot not sold afaik)
Round Barley straw - £15 - see my post above ref some ambiguity as to whether barn stored.

200 conventional bales wheat - £2/bale.

Guth did you take notice of the bale size on that last load of unlotted hay? Small bales - looked similar to the old D1000 - maybe 80x50? I wrote down £30.50 /bale for that which could be fairly dear if the bales were what I thought they were?
From GTH newsletter
A much stronger trade for the February Fodder sale with supplies of feed and bedding beginning to run short for many. Hay continued to be in demand and a reasonable quantity of silage changed hands. Another buoyant trade for straw, especially that at the market.
Headline prices:
Hay
Round £10-£15/bale
Square £24-£30/bale (best quality) £90/tonne delivered
Conventional £1/bale
Silage
Round £10-£12/bale
Square £30/bale (best quality)
Straw
Round £23/bale (Wheat)
Square £33/bale (delivered Wheat)
£114/tonne (Wheat)
£130/tonne (delivered Barley)
Conventional £1/bale

Well the straw prices look accurate.
But they're being a bit economical with the truth on the feed it seems to me. I wrote down 4 lots of silage knocked down for £5-9. And more not sold than sold.
Hay I would guess at about 50% clearance of on farm lots. Feed was hard work.
