Nope. I wonder what percentage of spring crops to winter is ?
If nothing gets planted this spring, how will that affect the market I wonder.
Driving around the Midlands this winter there was an awfull lot of stubble . Due to blackgrass I was told .this next dry week forecast could well save us .I spoke to one big farmer who bales a lot of straw who said he was a lot more optimistic this year than last due to moisture levels .he may well comment himself if he reads this

I suppose they need to change their mindset . Have you planted your straw yet would be a good enough start

If arable farmers weren't messed around by straw contractors so much they would be more likely to sell the stuff ;) Not helped by wet Augusts at all. Straw wasn't anywhere near £100/t at harvest either. Read @Sid 's straw bale/chop costs in the arable section & you'll see what straw removal costs are instead of just viewing it as an unwanted byproduct of cereal growing.

My barley straw is still in the seed bag!
