I can’t remember the figure but 50/60 a tonne springs to mind. Is there anything else to replace them? It’s obviously been a bad year for tatties and I was told spec has come down putting pressure on supply of stock feed tatties not to mention yield etc

What mix do you give to fattening Hoggs and what method do you feed it to them - chopped, mixed or just tip it out ad-lib with brewers grains tipped on?

I feed brewers grains and beet to store cattle just tipped into feeders with loadall not mixed. Hoggs are on beet with barley and pellets in hoppers. I would prefer oats as well but no where to tip it atm

I have fattened hoggs on grainbeet 4 brewers grains to 1 supaflow but it’s not for anyone in a hurry to get them fat

I’d say roughy 35ish, it’s quite good stuff as it’s from an AD plant that has 3000t too much.

Neighbours having big four barley rounds delivered from another farmer at £20/bale if that helps.

What ever you feel happy with cause if I say a price I’ll either be too cheap too dear a robbing barsteward or have no idea so I’ll stay stum
