I fear you may be right.A bale of silage should be worth £38 or£40 this year
Im not so sure, beef is short in europe now so i think those that keep cracking on filling sheds and fields with stock will hit the jackpot one morning . War will finish one day, fuel and feed will drop in price over night and those with plenty of stock will be in the driving seat over those that put the breaks on and have empty sheds and fields. And prime cattle should be £5/kg, but they won't.
Plenty of last years about that can be bought for half thatI fear you may be right.
That's about what I've been paying .Bought some 4'6" decentBought a stack of silage last night for £15 a bale (160 bales) don't have to move it till I want to use it. Nice stuff, pleased with that .

Does anyone work out how much it cost to make a bale of hay.£15 bale
Tight arseThat's about what I've been paying .Bought some 4'6" decent
enough hay (45 bales) last week for £15 a bale not far away either.
Not going to buy any fodder next time ,this past year the fodder prices
just added up for me.
not without a correct weather forecast.Does anyone work out how much it cost to make a bale of hay.
To grow a two year lay on rented land, seed fert, spray, roll, mow, ted x3 rake, bale, cart, for a 10 bale crop I think works around £35/40 of course 2nd cuts and better yields would lower this but that's not quanteed.Does anyone work out how much it cost to make a bale of hay.
