Or grass seeds.....ooooo that could be interesting when they start to sprout! He was ok he beds down on his sawdust
And that is what always happens. Been there as a teenager.
depends where the lumps areI would rather a lumpy one than a grumpy one !
I'm not going to fuel a fire !The straw burners do that!Go on you tease, share with us, ball park figure if you prefer.
Establishment would be goodOr grass seeds.....ooooo that could be interesting when they start to sprout!
you do know this is a price trackerI'm not going to fuel a fire !The straw burners do that!
From my supplier I'm hearing that a few large dealers have been paying stupid money for straw to let the market keep rising knowing they have loads stored away from harvest .
Anyone with anything to sell sees headline price and wants X amount ex farm .Not very helpful to livestock farmers or anyone to tbo!
Anyway got on phone and saved £30 t! Fortunately!
Most recent price is £10 for a toilet roll, don't now how much straw is saved by wiping there bums though!you do know this is a price tracker
Ok .Unpresident timesyou do know this is a price tracker
no its been like this since day one best kept secret everOk .Unpresident times
Its basically flawed then as no dealer will ever openly admit to what hes buying and sell for .you do know this is a price tracker
are dealers the only ones that buy or sell straw or fodder ?Its basically flawed then as no dealer will ever openly admit to what hes buying and sell for .
The time I paid £10 for toilet paper when everyone said how short it was , I then found out it was just panic
to counter the shortage of loo roll ?Plenty of free dock leaves in Wales.
Even after the toilet paper shortage ?Plenty of free dock leaves in Wales.
Thats bo!!ocks nipped into village shop for milk and they'd got pack of 24 loo rolls reduced from £9.50 to £6 apparently suppliers been talking price up saying it will be short but there's warehouses full of the stuff and now they're having to discount it to shift it, top quality stuff it was tooMost recent price is £10 for a toilet roll, don't now how much straw is saved by wiping there bums though!
I know a merchant who can beat that, into Deapest Pembrokeshire as wellAs nobody ever posts prices. I’ve been told I can post prices by my merchant. He can deliver as much wheat as possible into South Wales for £140 a tonne! Daft price but at least I can post the price.

But we don't want to turn this onto a pricewar . Forcing it down would never do [emoji24]
No but farmers who buy the odd load often pay a lot more so distorting the avarage on farm price as a guide. If its a guide your after. if you used £100 ex farm midlands Eastern Counties you would not be far off . And flush the auction prices down the loo as irrelevantare dealers the only ones that buy or sell straw or fodder ?
That's not really what I was thinking, you say that dealers won't put prices on here but they buy from farmers and they sell to farmers and those farmers can and do put prices on here, It takes two to make a dealNo but farmers who buy the odd load often pay a lot more so distorting the avarage on farm price as a guide.
