Ha forgot to say it’s raining here again this morning but I think spring is definitely coming even if it’s not here yet

We need it now . Surely it can't be good for the ground to be continually saturated.
Maddening to see our 'Eastern Counties Cousins' putting spring barley in when we cant even open the field gate .

Just to keep on topic .....got 50 round bales of hay going today £25 a bale . Lovely sheep hay .

Also the last few weeks or so the roads down here have been full of straw lorry after straw lorry but that seems to have dried up the last week or so, i actually find it hard to believe that demand for straw has dried up that much as there is still a long way to go untill turnout for most people down here.

My phone has got noticeably quieter the last ten days. A few others rang saying the same.
I am off to Cornwall services this morning with barley at £100 ton. A late harvest order that has been put back and back by the purchaser but seems a great chap on the phone so you sort of go with it.

That's because everyone is too busy arguing about masks and doctors letters and everything else to phone up and order any straw!
