And then some.
I would take orders to Devon for £80 ton wheat.
A couple of people told me today that they have been quoted between £90/100 for Barley delivered into Devon.

Yes I had that letter this morning. One estate in herefordshire is selling its 668 acres of wheat off in 120x90 6 string krone bales this year through agents Sunderlands . Fixed price £80/t , no bale chasing either, they will be stacked handy for loading.
If they sit on their hands it too could be 80 a week into SB baling.A couple of people told me today that they have been quoted between £90/100 for Barley delivered into Devon.

You believe an auctioneer , surprised they bothered with the average, its usually the top price. Both Wheat and Barley averaged £111 acre according to the market report posted on FB.
Wheat trade was certainly stronger than Barley but i imagine that is because last year WB yields were a lot poorer than Wheat when cut as the Barley broke up a lot when it went thru the combine.
Local contractor who does some straw dealing as well was paying well into the £100's/acre for WB.
I came by a field the top of Amesbury by A303 of SB that had been hit by the heavy rain today and was lodged over in places. What do spring crops look like upwards?
Around here many are very short height wise at the moment.
A lot less grown this year that's for sureWhat do spring crops look like upwards?

there quite a few acres around here that wont see a combine because its that short you couldnt get it in.A lot less grown this year that's for sure
That's looking really well.this a week ago. Straw yield will be good if it’s still standing. Only had 65kg of N plus digestate at drilling and sheep over prior winter.

Would that be on heavy or lightish ground?
Some wetter fields seem quite short compared to lighter ground this year.
And kneeling down !What people don’t know is that @Jerry is only 4’10’’ tall[emoji23]
I dont think its half bad tbh as long as its baled up dry and with the sun out. Fair saving pulling up at a big stack rather than trundling around the field for them too.Yes I had that letter this morning.
The contractor has an on board weighing system, so I'm told, and he knows exactly what he's pushing out. .
I can't make my mind up if its a good deal or not .
Best he gets a quote somewhere else then ,Was told by a friend to night that he had been quoted £200 for barley old season for now delivery and will be. £120 new season............
So what areBest he gets a quote somewhere else then ,
