Another sale tonight 1.5 miles up the road .

If it's the one on the crossroads we been there a few times ,fantastic food but a pocket drainer !

Had 'The local fount of all knowledge' here last night ......bang on supper time ....again!
He reckons that there are 2 men from Birmingham that run a pet shop chain and want 20000 acres of straw to bale up and shred into little packets for the pet industry and that's why it's so dear in the midlands ! ......it was a struggle to keep a straight face !

Must have been a lot of pet rabbits sold during lockdown.

Well all the people standing out thinking it would
get cheaper would be left at the end with limited acres to bid on.
I doubt that it is true though.

The story was a lot more elaborate....I've just summarised it !

Looks like the price of good ww straw in Hereford and Shrop
is averaging around £100 an acre so far.

I would say to the West of Herefordshire the price is higher, averaging over £125 for the ones I know.

Haven't been on one .........just yet, still on
the centre parcs stage.(cheap version, tent,bikes ,crayons and a farmers field).

Hell, that’s something too look forward too! Ours is a tent in the field behind the calf shed! At least at 9pm we can sneak off and sleep in the farmhouse though…
