Again its a location thing but imo there will be more round bales of silage sold nearer £10 than £20 this winter, autumn has been great for keeping stock out. I have bought 80 bales of round cow hay at a fiver which the cows are loving while still out just because i couldnt turn it down.
They say if you get a grassy year you'll need the forage , El Nina is on it's way

Fodder very steady at Goostrey today. 12 loads entered 5 hay, 7 straw. 6 loads sold. 1 hay and 2 barley straw from a dealer didn’t sell but it’s very rare he does sell. It’s just a valuation exercise.
square bale good sheep hay £78 (coming our house)
Small load soft meadow hay in rounds £82
Big load round baked seeds hay, nice buy touch strong £76 (coming our house)
Load round bale sticks, smelt musty. Cows would be bloody hungry too eat it £64 looked bloody well sold.
round bale oat straw, lovely stuff £78
Square bale Barley £78 nice eating straw.
golden beautiful square bales barley, super soft, real nice feeding straw £92
then a load of wheat didn’t sell at £70, 2 load of barley didn’t sell at £80.

What price can people see decent silage
being traded at auction?
Been offered a 100 bales .
Nick Champion got a Fodder sale shortly . He is asking vendors to be 'realistic' with their reserves this yr .
I bet it will be awash with silage but probably too far for you . I was going to put some in the sale I've got stacked in Rotherwas but I'm going to hang on till Brightwells sale I think .
