I didn’t go but have spoken to Browns. Think only 1 lot of big bales sold. Not sure about hay or small bales but he said it was difficult sale.Any reports from St.ives Monday ?

What you supposed to do with it, flail it?I didn’t think you could graze or conserve that.
Basically yeah. Estate I have a fbt on the grass have just put 600 acres down as ab15. It’s going to drive me insane in early April when it’s a foot high and I’m short of grass. What you supposed to do with it, flail it?
He's not far off there if it's good stuff and tidy balesCheers Derrick.

my kind of logic…Bloody walkers left gate open
You can cut it after the scheme has ended , the stuff you have probably spotted was cut on the 16th August after the field came out of the scheme . Pop over tomorrow and I will give you a bale to take away and try .Noticed some in Sunderlands catalogue .
You have to flail it off while it's in the scheme, but after you can do what you like with it .What you supposed to do with it, flail it?
What are the scheme payments like on it?You have to flail it off while it's in the scheme, but after you can do what you like with it .
Good I think ,,,but I don't really know. Its a farm where I have ' an interest in ' and I get the crop .... I must admit the ground is good after .What are the scheme payments like on it?
Same, good seed hay and barley straw wanted, meadow hay and wheat straw little/no demand.Any reports from St.ives Monday ?

Don't think it will ever be cheaper than it is nowMight be worth buying straw march/april rather than buy straw in the swathe if prices stay low
Wheat straw at Sedge today, delivered in £80 ton.. ( so what £35/45 t ex farm ? )Don't think it will ever be cheaper than it is now
Only about 10% clearance of on farm lots I would say. The worst I think I have seen.Wheat straw at Sedge today, delivered in £80 ton.. ( so what £35/45 t ex farm ? )
No demand for silage at all.
Ex farm large bale hay £8 bale.
No demand at all for any other hay ex farm with the exception of one lot of Ryegrass hay @ large square bales at £33 bale.
Small bale wheat delivered £2.20 bale.
Generally very little demand/ bids for anything and certainly trade for what was sold would be down on the last sale a month ago.
