Thank's! No I'm a civil engineer so self thought when it comes to fabrication. My dad used to make implements for me when I was young so I'm just trying my hand at it for my nephews. Something like this harvester looks quite daunting at first but when you break it down into the individual parts it's not actually that bad. That is actually awesome! Real credit to you! Are you a fabricator by trade?
Sorry, have had that problem in the grown up world, there is no easy way to re work at all. Thanks, yes that's the way I thought it would have to be done but it's 2.5mm thick so not that easy to do with my tools anyway. Considering it's not going to be actually lifting grass I think it may just have to do. I was just unsure was there a simple way I hadn't thought off.
Have you got a signs express franchise near you?Anyone on here have the capabilities of cutting/printing decals or stickers for my project. It's finally finished but just need them to complete it. I'm slowly losing faith in mankind dealing with one or two local chaps who initially said not a problem but 6 weeks later still nothing
I hadn't heard of them but have just googled them and while not exactly local I will give them a try on Monday. Thanks for your help.Have you got a signs express franchise near you?
Cheers BAC!many hours of trawling the net!the wheels, drawbar ram and decals were all a nightmare to source to scale but worth it as it's the little things that finish it off.You are extremely talented! It's amazing how you find the materials for such a small job

I have no idea to be honest but I reckon in the region of 150 hours. It was something I just went to in my spare time. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so many parts were chucked away untill I was happy with it! Just as well I wasn't getting paid by the hour or it would be a pricey bit of kit! Was totting up materials alone there..steel €90(although a lot left over), wheels €40, gas strut €30, paint €20, stickers €50, nuts/bolts etc €15.I hope that puts any of you off asking for oneHow many hours did it take to build it do you think??
Thanks Jack, appreciate the appreciation!Excellent work! I saved the picture of your first one on my phone and never saw the finished article of the harvester, again really well done
