Silage Trailer Refurb

I came across these photos of our Herron we refurbed 3 years ago so I thought I'd add them here for anyone that's interested.

The high sides had been bowed out, the top and bottom of each extension was rotten and the latch for the grain door was bent and the bosses holding it rotted through too.

We cut out the top and bottom rail of the sides and welded back in 3mm box-section at the top, and 3mm folded plate at the bottom, this was originally 2mm sheet.

2 of the sides weren't rusted and were just straightened,

We squared up the front board and made a mesh extension for the side.

We added LED marker lights and tail lights while we were at it.

Very tidy, what sort of led lights did you use? I'm just doin the same job on my west trailer and thinking LEDs will be the way to go

I used these marker lights,I think I have one of what they are like at night, they're not as bright as most HGV's but for the price they do all we want but to be honest if I was going again I think I'd spend a bit more to get brighter ones.

I got 2 sets of these tailights for the trailer and they are good value for money, real bright. They don't draw that much current, so when the indicators on, the tractor doesn't know it has a trailer if you get me. I think you can add a resistor pack or something to combat this?
At the time it didn't realy matter because Led's should work all the time.
