Get it bought. 1st Feb Mole valley going to £73 a roll for cheap brand. Good stuff nearer £80. Got a pallet of last years for £65 coming tomorrow.

Bought 2 pallets @59.30. polybale. they've got some cropguard i think @56. Ive been using it for a farm or two last few years plenty on a roll. This was last week.

38 urea + 8 sulpher £750 today

I can get away with just 10 ton of nitrogen for 100 acre of reseeded fields the other 100 acre will just get muck and it is what it is. Last year I was cutting pastures that got away in front of the stock, it had no fert and was getting grazed.
Been reducing the amount spread on pastures for a few years, last year I think there was only 2 bags spread where there’s a big number of cows go to run with a bull. Lime has transformed grazing here. theres not much that hasn’t had at least 2T acre in the last 5 years.

Did your land need lime after soil testing or have you applied it as a replacement for fert.
We dont need lime on our land but was thinking of replacing some fert with lime this year.

Yes most was tested, some land as low as 5ph. Meadows were around 5.4-5.8. Glad I did get a lot done as now that fert has rocketed I feel as tho I will be getting more out of it.

No fert ordered and no wrap either probably don’t need one without the other crazy year ahead but my grandad would always tell me these are the years you make a pound
