We have used stirrers in 120t bins with a constant humidity burner for 20 years and a few years ago I put a couple of 300t bins up with stirrers. For some reason their drying seems to be a lot less predictable in the bigger bins, despite the variables being relatively similar. We seldom cut anything over 16.5% so really only need to dry a little at worst. We always have run the stirrers when we are drying, some folks say do, others I have read suggest not,we may just be mixing the wet stuff back in again?
