Sim only deals

as I say my £15 EE sim is unlimited with the exception of data at 15gb a month - I never hit that limit and run 4 internet businesses now so I have no idea why anyone would need much more mobile data really !

That makes me still better off buying the phone than a contract

I tend to get a new phone every year and the old ones filter down through staff and family so thats where I really see the payback of sim only - on sim only they are MUCH cheaper than contracts and new handsets so I get good value out of buying in the longer term. Our EE bill used to be circa £400 per month, its now under £100 but yes I do have a new handset to buy once every 12 or 18 months

I guess if your using mobile for home internet access the unlimited data changes that a bit, we get really good fiber BB speeds here so no need

We’ve knocked 3 household BB costs on the head.

Go unlimited data on your mobile and your £14.99 doubles.

You are comparing apples and raisins.

I’m just saying in my situation it’s still cheaper to buy handsets and be sim only

With your lack of decent broad band and therefore need of a huge data plan that’s clearly not the case for you

Everyones circumstance is different, as others in this thread point out many have no need for the latest greatest handset for example, in such cases sim only probably also is the cheaper option as well

Irrelavent of the BB, the contract deal with unlimited BB is still cheaper than your deal.

It’s not lee

A £960 phone is £40/month over 24 months

My sim is £15 - that no limit fir me as I can’t posbly use that much data a month, moving from a very fast broadband connection to mobile isn’t an option for me with several business utterly dependant upon it

I make that £55 per month which is £5 less than £60

My phone is replaced every year not every 2 years and moved on to others, I image a 12 month contract would be more expensive still

What matters though is the next 6 years and other users on my contract - they all cost me £15:month

If I put them all on a £60 m contract the bill would be a lot bigger x4 bigger in fact

It is for the simple fact it’s unlimited data. If you had the same deal on sim only it would cost you more as it’s £30/month on top of the phone at £39/month.

You are comparing apples and pears not apples and apples.

Throw in the landline saving on top and the real cost of our contract drops further way below your deal of only 15gb/month.

As said first post ‘some’ of the contract deals are now beating the sim only deals.

It’s for any under the age of 30. £10 a month you get your text and calls, 6gb of data but you get most of your social media included for free Snapchat,Facebook, twitter and some other stuff for free that doesn’t come off your data package.
You can also pick up a £10 voucher every time you refer someone and they sign up.
Seems like a deal so I told my kids about it (22 and 18) they are trying it.
And apparently if your on it before the age of 30 you can stay on the same deal after 30.
