Simba freeflow creep down

Evening all

got myself a simba free-flow 4m drill having a little trouble with the drill, the front ram is creeping down does it as soon as I lift it to any height and gently lowers down to bottom of the ram travel.

The book mentions some sort of check valve but doesn’t show location.

it may not even be that that, any help would be appreciated.

The check valves are normally installed near the cylinder. Post some pictures to show the current set up. The good news is there not an expensive item.

Its the check valves on the big alloy block where all the pipes go, markers can do the same, the valves are like little turret things, take them out (24mm spanner) and replace the O ring, the one you need will have obvious damage to the O ring

Check this first, as it’s quick & simple. If not this then ram seals, is the ram showing signs of leaking - but then again could be leaking internally.

Thanks everyone very appreciated.

I’ll have a look at the valve block for these turrets and o rings and if I’m stilll not sorted ill post some pictures of the drill configuration and see if we can get to the bottom of it.

to confirm the front ram which will not hold up is dry with no external leeks only one of the rear rams is leaking .

here’s a photo of the valve block which turrets do we associate with the front ram or height functions.

second even when the ram check is closed on front ram, it still creeps down with or with out it being closed. Internal seals ?

thank

Forget the relief valve turrets, (I think the top ones are markers so must be the side ones if they are fitted in your problem circuit) it must be the internal seals when that valve is locked off, assuming it works properly.
