I’ve got one in Worcester if you want a look it’s a basic model yr 2000 I think, it’s got the nice shape hopper and converted to to variable rate Rds keep under cover 99% of the time and a split rear axle for nice headland turns also mine puts the weight across the full with of the packer wheels and had the better transport wheels fitted ready.
That sounds like what I'm after. How much are you after? Can you send some photos?

Yes our simba freeflow with simtec tines is still running. Now down to 19 tines for 210mm spacing. Looking to add the front cutting discs this summer to help with drilling into thick straw as it doesn't cope well enough with that yet. The direct drilled crops yielded very well last year. Hoping to direct drill more area this autumn.

@lostdog just toying with the idea of buying a Simba Freeflow and retrofitting cutting discs at front, would be grateful if you could let me know how you did this? Was thinking of making some plates up to bolt to metal cylinder of front packer, then refitting 12.5cm tyre between the discs? thanks

Hi there, i basically added a toolbar which fits into the existing cultivation tine holders on the drill. It’s worth saying that one of the first things we did was to widen the drilling tine spacing out to 166mm as this makes a big difference to trash flow. Also, had we stuck with 125mm the system I have used would not have fitted into the frame. Hopefully the photos attached show reasonably well how it fits together. Happy to provide further details if it’s of use.

So you lift the whole toolbar up and down on the original tine pins for depth control? What are the disc units off? Nice

Yes, the whole disc unit fits into the original toolbar un-altered. We had some spare rams from the marker arms which I used as the lift/lower. I built the disc units myself using 20mm plate for the disc arms. The rubber suspension units and preformed brackets came from agri-linc. The discs themselves came from beeversales, I can’t remember the diameter just now but the important bit was the hole spacing and centre hole diameter as this allowed me to use standard stub axles to mount them on. Was a fairly straightforward job once I’d got my head round it.

And do they do as you expected? I’m sure I’ve read on here someone doing similar and saying they hold the drill out in their case?
