The Knight Triple Press has a steel front roller option with flat rings along it. I have not experienced one though to see how well it will cut or ride over hard ground, but you could replace the Freeflows front press with a packer roller with rings welded on instead of teeth.

Bought a different drill and fitted these discs.
I did use the free flow to plant some osr last yr but after 4 tines snaped on 25 acres I come to the conclusion it’s not up to it. And it blocked up a couple of times.

We’re they snapping pictures purely on dd? At what spring we’re they blocking up? Was it the tines themselves? I’ve got a Freeflow standard set up at the mo and the levelling boards and following harrows are as bad as the tines themselves. This is an issue for me when only carrying out shallow surface cultivation’s in chopped straw and then trying to drill through it.

I took every other one out of my Freeflow for OSR, worked well like that, broke 1 tine in 90acres,
Now hit the job of putting them back in for S Beans tomorrow [emoji51]

Nope bit of a home fabrication to an existing disc unit from Claydon drill. Simply had to drill more holes so it fitted. But maybe just get some lazer cut out with the correct hole spacing would be easier and cheeper. As the back ones don’t fit anyway Spaldings do the hub and discs separately, I think .

The drill wasn’t heavy enough to push the discs in the ground. It did the same when I used the discs on the claydon . The weaving big disc seams to manage it so just been using that if it’s a bit to trashy. Brilliant drill.

Are you able to get parts for the big disc still? My neighbour seems to struggle.
