I would say 125hp should do depending on how deep your going how fast you want to pull it and how flat your land is.we have a 4m and love it ive had it on 135hp and it did it but a bit slow.they work better with a bit of speed .we used to pull it with 170hp and seemed about right but drilling beans 4inch deep made it work.

Bad points are it doesn’t like wet sticky soil .you need a fairly level seed bed as there is limited ground following on individual coulters.they dont like stones land as the tines snap.but they are cheap for spares and wearing metal
