just checking i've got this right, I have installed 4 floodlights in my cow shed and each one has a 250w sodium lamp in it, so when all four are switched on that adds up to 1kw.
does that mean that if i'm paying 12p kw/hr then it costs me 12p per hour to run them or does it not work that way :scratchhead:

I am ordering 10 new led tubes this week to replace the tubes in 5xTwin HF fluorescent lights after the ballast packed up in them. I would never ever install another HF light and I'd rather replace the tubes and bypass the dead ballasts than fit another new HF.

My local suppliers have stopped selling non-HF fluorescents so led it is. Neighbour has led in his new cattle shed and the light from them is fantastic so I don't see an issue with the light brightness.

i 'm not over keen on the bright white light they emit so went for the sodium instead!
You need to specify the colour temperature of the lamps, usually cool white, warm white and very warm white.
