Can you imagine the chagrin of Red Tractor/ H&S today, if your sprayer boom was made up of scrap bicycle parts ?
Reminds me of my old neighbour, who always sowed fertiliser at 2cwt / acre.........cos the adjuster on the spreader was ceased up on 2cwt/ acre. Halcyon days..........

Reminds of the neighbour who never altered his drill setting but just went over it again until it was empty.

just as a bit of info my dad used to sell his cattle at the local market they were shown first won prizes and certificates if good enough and then were auctioned to the local butchers who then butchered prepared and sold locally in their shops that cow having not moved more than 5 miles from were it was born . Thats how it was done then pride in what you do and how you do it .
That is lovely, however I doubt they all did that out of the goodness of their harts. It probably was the most profitable way.
