Thanks,I thought it would be a bit wide,
Anyway,For the money spent i would want it to be as versatile as possible would the T sem be more usefull (ie better for cereals) lot more money though i suppose/different animal?)
would half rate cross drilling would solve the grass seed row width prob...?

It does, and that's just what I do.;) it would make drilling dearer if you're paying contractors rates of course, but if you have your own it's definitely worth doing. That said, I drilled a late heading diploid PRG mix in diagonals last Spring, which should tiller & fill nicely, but could still see the rows today. I've no doubt it will fill out this year though.

I would want as many uses as possible  - has anyone pulled straight in on ploughing with one with maybe just a press on the front?
20k ish for a new one? does seem a lot but not as ddrills go i guess.- and easier to rationalise if multiuse though

Tried it once no pics sorry,Trouble is depth control, you need to consolidate ploughing with a big press with levelling tines in front to be right,

There's one on the u tube video with a accord tine seeder top on it anyone know if that was sold as just the frame and tines?

Spoke to the owner of that drill at LAMMA, they made it as a one off as he already had the KV tine seeder and wanted to use some of the bits. In the end I don't think he saved much money over just buying one straight and selling the KV.

That's worth knowing as we have an ageing tine seeder with main of the wear in the coulters. But I don't thing simtech make a 4m air version as far as I'm aware

^ About sums them up.(y) Had mine 5 years now and very pleased with it. Possibly looking to change it shortly, but only for a new one from the same place.:)

Has anyone designed a scraper to stop mud build up in the spring roller? as this seems to be the deciding factor on how damp you can drill at. On ours it does a great job putting the seed in in all conditions, but you only need a small patch of damp clay, and it will start to build up.

The tine has been known to flick stones through back windows of tractor. I don't really see it as a problem as a mesh guard would be an easy fit.
Only applies to 30mm tine not 25. Same problem on multi grip tine of Sprinter compared to old CO.
Not from first hand experience but much enquiring
