Had the same thing happen here when i had a box one, learnt to turn lever back back 2 turns after calabrating, hell of a job to get it right on small seed ,swapped the drill for a simtec air drill with electronic calabration 2 years ago,lot more acurate
from the odd old one ive seen for sale they are a lot of money for not a lot trying to cash in on a bit of trend i guess, better to buy a new ,but air drill not box it seems for rape kale roots even ungraded seed...??Anyone know much about about older Aitchinson drills, have a friend looking at an old drill for workshop project. Think it’s a seedmatic 1000 series but sounds like no discs only tines, this be right?
I priced a 3 m one last year when looking at the grants available . It was around £27k I think .Just out of interest, roughly how much are they for a T-Sem 300A? Not that I am in the market for a new drill on the acreage I'm running at the moment...
Higher spec to meet the grant conditions I think. Air hopper being one if them constraints. If I recal correct. Basic 3m with sponge fed metering is £22k delivered.I priced a 3 m one last year when looking at the grants available . It was around £27k I think .
That would take a bit of justifying especially if there is a question mark over the future of glypho.I priced a 3 m one last year when looking at the grants available . It was around £27k I think .

Which contact number is the most effective when wanting to order spare parts? Not complaining because I know George has a lot on his plate but have just struggled a bit this season.

Yeah, I have the Seedmatic, think it is pretty much the same thing, It is a good drill but I wouldn't recommend it because of the tboots it uses, they are supposed to be made of nihard carbon steel but I think they are made of glass and @ $80 a pop will cost you a fortune, if you have 10 stones in a paddock then you'll break 8 boots, very poor design, they look very similar to the points you have on your SimTec's over there, I have a set of chain harrows I either hook on the back or follow up withDoes anyone know anything about the aitchison seedmatic drills? Look basically the same albeit narrower row spacing and without the roller on the back. As an arable drill it looks like you'd want something to cover the slots, but it looks to have a towing eye on the back for this eventuality. Does anyone use one to good effect?
Take a look at @le bon paysan 's posts and 'Pictures from France' thread.Does anyone know anything about the aitchison seedmatic drills?
