Single Market / Customs Union - A Tragic Loss

It depressed me when I went to Scotland for a friends wedding about 10 years ago and was threatened simply for being English in the local town (I doubt anything that has happened since then has reduced those peoples animosity toward the English), but then again I find some of the anti-Scots posts that I read on here from English posters and elsewhere equally depressing.

Which part of Scotland? And please be assured that one or two of my fellow countryman being eejits does not mean we all are. I’ve been sworn at and abused in England but I’d never dare suggest it was indicative of the country as a whole. The fact that you’ve born a grudge all this time could indicate that the problem lay with you and not them though. 🤣🙄😉

Weren’t they the band favoured by the mods? If I’d been a bit older, I’m sure the rockers would of been more my scene
They were mods but sort of turned to the correct side later. I met him once, seemed like a nice chap.

I haven’t born a grudge, it was a such a shock to me that I have simply never forgotten it. As I say, I have been equally shocked by the anti Scots sentiment shown by my fellow countryman, simply because it is not something that I feel myself or was aware of. If I could apologize to you on behalf of my fellow countrymen in a meaningful way I would, I don’t doubt you feel the same.

Dropping like a stone!
More dropping the uk
Come on! Get a grip. There was life before the customs Union and the EU. There will be life afterwards. As I’ve said before; it’s people that make things difficult not mass populations. Politics is “full of kids playing in the sand” They need to live in the real world.

Do you recon it’s been bad for Slovenia?
I must say, the transformation of the Czech Republic since 2004 has been astonishing
Hard to say. There is a highway right through the centre but that’s more an advantage for Hungary and countries beyond as a major conduit into Western Europe. I don’t know how much funding has come to Slovenia. But I can find out!

Jean Castex tonight , announcing stricter measures in France.

"All those arriving into France from outside the EU will have to have a negative Covid test within 72 hours, isolate for 7 days and then have another negative Covid test"

What lorry drivers are going to come to the uk now?

Well said. Those politicians who drove Brexit over the line, never reared sheep, or caught fish in the ocean, to get them to market in EU in pristine fresh condition. If they had, they might have had different ideas ....
