I see Michel Barnier has published a book about the Brexit negotiations. I was under the impression these politicians shouldn’t benefit from “telling the inside story” especially when he is still involved in the on going relationship. It will be an interesting read when it’s available in a English.
He's finished at the commission.
Considering a run for French President.

China has overtaken Germany to become the UK's biggest single import market for the first time since records began.
Goods imported from China rose 66% from the start of 2018 to £16.9bn ($24bn) in the first quarter of this year, the Office for National Statistics said.
Imports from Germany fell by a quarter to £12.5bn in the same period.

Hardly surprising when your government mates and relatives are importing billons of pounds worth of substandard PPE from China that goes straight into UK 's landfill sites. :banghead:

Belgian tv commentator.
"The Lord in Britain that negotiated the Brexit trade agreement is now saying it was a bad contract that should not be enforced. We in the EU are having difficulty understanding what on earth the British are doing, it's possible they don't know either"

French TV journalists commenting on the UK today,
"The English didn't know why they wanted to leave the EU, they didn't understand what would happen when they did, they don't like the consequences of leaving and now they don't want the treaty that they negotiated"

Boris Johnson appointed a guy to investigate Boris Johnson who reports directly to Boris Johnson. Investigation into Boris Johnson found that Boris Johnson didn't know who was going to pay for redecorations so Boris Johnson didn't break any rules. Says the man appointed by Boris Johnson.!

Seems Switzerland have also finally had enough of the EU's bullying, we are not alone.
Switzerland's multitude of bilateral trade agreements done over 60 years are seen as PIA in Brussels and takes up a deprotonate amount of time and money for a tiny country. Both sides will benefit when they are amalgamated into a single trade deal. But this lays down a maker to the UK that any separate bilateral agreements aren't on the cards.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, “fudge business”!

A bit of Frostys thoughts re deals.

How inspiring....

"We had imagined that the EU would look on the protocol as mere window dressing and would take a pragmatic view of us ignoring the rules. It should have been obvious we had not intention of sticking to the letter of the law"

You can see from this statement Frosty is coming from the same place as Liz Truss, just agree to anything but get the deal done. :banghead:

When I coined the term “CONZUK“ if reference to @Danllan ‘s much vaunted “CANZUK“, I was ahead of the curve.
The whole damn project is a con, led by con artists.

Michael Dougan was and remains splendid. I too watched his tutorials as I was organising the paperwork to take french nationality (dual, if I should ever wish to return.) I am saddened and ashamed, and would never ignore my cultural heritage, but HOW can they be so stupid, xenophobic and arrogant. As for one nation day in schools, have they gone completely mad as well? And the bloody boat. Names please....I propose HMS SPAFFER.
