what we have to do now, is stop trying to score petty points over each other, and i am guilty of that, for the UK, the advantages, or disadvantages, are over, we have left, for better or worse, we have to look forward, whether it was right or not, we will know in a few years. For us, we live in a democracy, and we have to live with that. Those that our still inside, will go in one direction, we will go in another. It is up to us to make it work, we have to look forwards not backwards.
Nah let's score petty points , more fun

well, didn't you know, it's rude to mock those who are jealous. But i was rather shocked at macron admitting the french would vote out, in a referendum that asked, in/out. But there is a strong frexit movement in france, so, you never know, they may be joining us !
that's my last post on this, it's pointless going over what might have been. Time to look forward.

Of course you are correct. It’s clearly a totally fkukked up situation, with very serious negative impacts right around the economy. Businesses left and right, big and small, should do the very British thing, of accepting it for what it is, put on a stiff upper lip, keep calm and carry on. And continue to do that while the leaders and promoters of Brexit, move their businesses off shore.
Well, if I were British either leave or remain, I wouldn’t fudging well accept this shitcake! No fudging way baby ....

When you emigrate, you're allowed to vote for 15 years. He's always been a useless prat , up the arse of anyone with serious money. Didn't bother to reply, expected that.
Roger Gale , on the other hand, has worked tirelessly for all uk/EU citizens and continues to do so. Have full residential rights both before and now under the withdrawal agreement. 2 girls , dual nationals👍
We all have more rights here in France than in the uk.
Thanks for the frankness. Good that you have citizenship sorted

We can still vote for our last constituency Martin. Nationality is real difficult, as it is for the uk or Czech Republic for example. As a half way house, we can get (well, must now) a residency permit.
Plenty of folk I know had lived here 20 years or more but never needed to bother...
Before Farage day🤷‍♂️
Ah, our Nige - I wonder if he’s drawing his MEP pension???

EU announced today, 'things are not running as smoothly as they should', and are relaxing some restriction to ease the congestion. And several 'parts' are not working as planned, so need 'sorting', euro news,
Would appreciate a link as I've just watched euronews and France 24 and not a peep.
Search on euronews has this but it's old

That is not all what he said . He said " having seen the lies that were told by the leave side in the uk, a referendum in France would lead to frexit. This would be caused by the government being obliged to tell the truth, it is difficult to get people to listen and see the truth when it's easier to believe the lies, that everything can be better"
Having looked at the express tonight and shown the frexit article to my daughter, she was very cross. How can they lie, this is rubbish! Marachel was loving trump in a piece today as an example for France.
God help us!

Don't suppose they'll get any credit for that. It'll be twisted into EU back down on the front page of the express.
And twisted back again by a handful of Europeans on here and so it goes on, every little headline anybody can pick up on either way is proudly churned out by the willie wavers as if it proves their argument. It doesn't, come back in 10 years and you can sort it in 5 minutes.

Geoffrey was our next door neighbour when he was parachuted into his safe constituency, and was our landlord soon after, both for a block of grass keep and later a livery yard & house. He was always very straight to deal with, as well as a hard working constituency MP.

He always filled just about every stereotype for a Tory MP though, right through to getting divorced through his secretary becoming bestest friends with him.🤐

I agree with this. There are a group on here who are not residing in the UK but are desperate to tell us over and over how we lost. I find it slightly sad and desperate and can't quite work out the motivation. If we have cut ourselves off and sail off into a sea of tragedy then that is of our making. Why keep going on about it? The EU is awesome and we were a PITA and now we are gone. So be relieved we are gone and prosper as you think you will do. We, the UK will get on with our own business, hopefully with the EU as friends and neighbours but if not, then not.
