What will be picking up the grass?

Once you discover it takes extreme skill to produce a decent row from a single rotor, and a not inconsiderable dollop of luck, most folks buy a small twin, or give up and phone a contractor

Ppffft........

You can only row up what's in front of you !

A decent single rotor rake, plenty of arms and tines, the correct forward speed, nowt better.

Even with the skill it takes twice as long to make the rows, you can race while raking so it very time consuming. I gave up and just pay contractor but have been patiently looking for a small twin

Nothing wrong with a single rotor if the operator is sensible, done many years with one and can produce a decent row. Have since gone to twin rotor but still have the single as backup and for straw. No nothing about the lely, my choice would be Claas or krone, but from moving fields point of view the krone due to not having to pull out all the arms, they just fold up.
