Don‘t forget, this is the emperor who prorogued Parliament. But hey, he got Brexit done, ( not for NI - for which of course you should be thankful), so he can do whatever he ruddy well wishes. Hail the king.

You dont need to worry Ireland's judiciary are subservient to the EU court anyway, at least we can kick out any government that tries to take power from the courts and replace it with one that will repeal any act , what can you do apart from what you are told ?

Can we kick them out?
To be replaced by...
That is the problem of course, looking at the political class in the UK there would be barely enough good ones to.run a pee up in a brewery, there appears to be only two countries that have strong leaders, Russia and China now that is worrying, our politicians cant hide behind the EU now

was Hancock , the Poles/ eastern block workers, Saddam Hussain and the Taliban, etc. before that the miners.

Kick out with your FPP system, designed with the prime purpose, of giving you the same old, same old, for ever and ever, amen.
Over here, the people decide who and how we should be represented in Parliament.
Wouldn’t be remotely possible for a Taoiseach or government to prorogue Parliament. We have safety systems.

Whereas macron is trying to look big over fish etc, is there a election coming up in France ???? Politicians all try and act big doesnt matter which country, to be fair though Corbyn didnt as he couldnt make his mind up on what to be tough about, they all sell out to keep power though, look at Merkel, sold out to the greens and has now left Germany in a mess

He's got Boris marked!
It's interesting reading in the uk how he's going to lose to Zemmour or le pen😂 and how great it'll be with one of them in power🤣 They both hate the UK , use it as a bogeyman , both out and out nationalists. Both will get rid of Le Touquet.

The only reason the French can have for preventing Channel crossings is humanitarian: to prevent migrants from drowning. But, on balance, might as well help them cross in good conditions. It would be a relief too , and, since Brexit, have no reason to do the job of the uk, especially as they are not keeping their financial commitments and in any case, keep insulting the French.
What Johnson/Patel/Rees-Mogg/Frost/et al seem to fail to realise is the more they try to blame France the more likely the French are to seek to bring an end to the Le Touquet agreement.

I don't see the French stopping anyone from trying to cross the channel so what exactly is the UK going to lose by the French tearing up the agreement?

The only people trying to cross the channel are Anglophone, they have communities and / or relations in the uk. All the Francophones stay in France.
The Le Touquet agreement is a huge benefit to the UK, France mmmm not so much!
This'll help

You're discussing semantics. The people heading to the UK are doing so for whatever reason. Agreement or not, it makes no odds and they will continue to try. The government needs to change our laws and make it such that someone entering the UK illegally will never be granted the legal right to remain here. It's that simple and it is what other countries do.

Macron suggested the UK made it possible for asylum seekers to apply before trying to cross the channel. Foxtrot Oscar was the reply.
