Saw that and thought the same, an 8 hour shift followed by an extended lunch break then back for another 3 or 4 hours, 6 days a week.
I know I work silly hours but that’s for myself. It makes being on call for robot 24/7 seem reasonable.

Don't want to be hard on a new member but doesn't seem like a job I'd want if I had to go away from self employment!
4:30 am start is bound to be 4:15 at the latest to have a drink and powder ones nose, until 12:30, then back in at 3:15 til half six?

No thanks, I'm oot.
Yes but you get a house and , well I`d guess £40k per annum ? what no chance ?then youre better of stacking shelves in Aldi for £12.50ph with students and retired`s , no stress and not upto your neck in shite.

Those hours 6 days a week every week of the year? It’s one thing to do that during busy times, but a bit much to ask of someone year round. I would find another industry if that was my only option

11 hr day at £8/hr (a tad over min wage that you would pay an unskilled worker) =£100/day Mon-Friday , Sat £131, Sunday £176 , so about £28k/pa for alternative weekends. If on £10/hr it's about £33k

I know drivers in the dairy industry on £40k plus for 4 x 12 hr days/week-max 48 hr weekly average.

There's money in milk, but the further from the cow the better.

It isn't an 11 hour day though is it because you have to go in twice!
In reality it is a 14 hr day, 6 days a week, what use is the gap in the middle, party time?

Its only about 11 hours a day isn't it, as I assume there will be a breakfast break in the morning? Its the split shift that makes it look worse. They probably need to shorten the weekend routine a bit but that's dairy farming.
Maybe they could move the afternoon milking slightly earlier, get finished at 5.30, not too bad then. I suppose the '6 days a week' could also include every weekend with the day off in the week, which wouldn't be flash.
The money and set up would be the biggest factor in deciding if it was any good.
Not sure why it would suit a couple?
