66 hour week. Most normal farm workers will do 50+? But then they don't get a house. I'd say if the position comes with house then sounds fine to me. It really depends on the working conditions. Good facilities will make the job less tiring. No way should herdsman be on call for calvings that would be too much I think. Otherwise I don't see a problem as others have said - take it or leave it. Plus you've got holiday like everyone else.

Perhaps the rodents are treated as a taxable benefit. I suppose that’s why no pets allowed, they have already been provided by the employer

Seen too many herdsmen do those kind of hours, think the industry needs to change and take more care of its workers. No wonder there's so many mental health issues in farming and a lack of young people wanting to enter the industry.

Dairy farms don't tend to have set hours !
