Skid steer vs articulated thoughts please

As title really, two types of wean to finish units two 100x50s with 8’ scrape passage each side and new deep litter with scrape one side and 4.5m pens in a 120x55, currently scrapping with a 35 and wanted to get the new shed running before buying a compact ish machine, telehandler on site for muck and bales

I would stick with the 35 on the scraper and get a skidsteer to muck out the back of the pens.
35 is cheap to repair and higher out of the muck on scraping duties. The scrape passage muck will get in to the bearings on the skidsteer.
Skidsteer is easier to manoeuvre in the small pens than an articulated in my opinion.

Pretty much my thoughts tbh, I love the little basic simple 35, and the boys don’t spin the wheels up for obvious reasons, just struggles with the bulk from the 4.5m pens, I can get the bulk with telehandler but it’s tight and only going to be a matter of time before something gets broke

I use a massey 165, with a big heavy box scraper on. Water Ballasting the tyres does help, and with the box scraper you can run it so it is only just touching the ground, so most of the weight is still on the link arms.
Mine is used for sows only though, so they are tidier with the straw, so not so much bulk, and due to layout I pull, not push.
