Saw this job advert on Exmoor Farmers Network, want the applicant to drive a hundred thousand pound machine have extensive experience but only paying £20,000 and you can work Monday to Sunday too! No wonder agriculture has an issue attracting talent, this job would easily be £32-35,000 in an associated field like construction and you wouldn't have to work weekends.

Typo? Maybe supposed to be £30k?

Edit: having re-read it there are a number of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors so I wouldn't be surprised if it was a typo!

Good luck with that, recent adverts in Cornwall for specialist spray operators at more than twice that level.

Lol. I can't find a job to pay me minimum wage simply as I need to be back for the children by 4pm. To date, zero local companies willing to be flexible on hours for a skilled, experienced graduate. Sigh.

I get pished off that I can't find all day shifts (7am until 9pm) on minimum wage because someone has snaffled either the early or the late. It's a serious PITA when trying to organise work in a hospital.

Neighbour of mine is employing folks working on the M25. They get a van for travel and all they need to do is turn up with a lunchbox under their arm, He was paying them £25 per hour and yet they still wouldn’t work for it.

What are they doing? That is London mind, where everything costs a bomb.

If someone knows of a job where I can turn up and do 12-16 hours a day until the end of September, point me at it.
