Skin irritants in parlor

I noticed recently whilst milking that I began to get skin irritation and I have little ideas as of what is causing it. It leaves a burning redness likening to sunburn on my arms and face that cant be stopped. My initial guess was that it may be the lactic acid teeth spray but still cant prove this. Did anyone else experience this or know what the cause could be
Thank you

Few years ago I had the same, it really irritated my face, to the point it looked as though I had a serious condition! After a process of allimination and several Dr visits, came to the conclusion it was paracetic acid causing it, its in darn near everything!

That's a good one now cause I know it's in products we use. Can I ask how did you prevent it and what products did you find it in

You really do not want to be repeatedly causing your skin grief with chemical burns or irritating chemicals over and over. Not only are you increasing the risk of scarring but it increases the risk of a specific type of skin cancer. Best avoided.

Have a look at chamcotec cluster flush on Facebook we use it to dip units between cows and for udder cloths
Can milk without gloves doesn't affect rubber ware or concrete some suggest it can be used as test dip and general dissinfectant
Cheaper than perracetic acid we find it very effective and not harmful in anyway.

I started wearing gloves and sleeves when milking in nz. Milking took 5 hrs in morning and 4 in evening. I lasted a week and my hands were falling to pieces. I ve worn gloves and Ppe in general ever since.
A lot of old farmers skin is destroyed through constant exposure to water dung chemicals etc.
Give them a go because it gets worse the older you get
