We were lucky enough to get our SLIMERS field drilled over the weekend. Clive has already been to scan and we’ve laid traps and soil sampled this morning! Aiming to get our Slug Resistant Wheat trial established this week. Hope others are managing to get bits done in this tricky autumn

How’s progress on the slug resistant wheat? we’re still not drilled up in Oxfordshire, neither us nor @Notsrim. how have the quadrats worked out? Please post a photo. The idea of these is that you take photos of the quadrat each week & we’re developing an algorithm that will count your wheat plants. But you’re Regen direct drill - i reckon it’ll be hard to distinguish the wheat from the receding cover.

Another thing I was going to ask is whether you have the white labels to mark up your quadrats in the SLIMERS trial? You should have received 20 white plant labels & a sharpie pen to mark each one with the nearest trap number so that it's visible from the photo you take.
