Slotting frog for pitch adjustment

Do most "slot" the bottom hole on a YL frog, see the metal is thinner there than the top and then pitch adjuster on top part of frog onto leg?

Mine are bolted to the leg as original no pitch adjustment required that’s on a ransomes ts59. I think dad has a slightly smaller bolt in the top hole on one of his frogs on his trailing plough, they are mounted plough frogs but fitted with the trailing plough pitch adjusters.

Always slot the top hole. Makes a natural triangle with the adjuster furthest away from the fulcrum on the shortest edge of the triangle.
Slot the bottom hole and the fulcrum is way off centre and closer to the adjuster. Slot the bottom hole and the point will work on too great an arc as will the landside which will move too far making the correct setting very difficult to achieve.
