Slug Pelleter Test

I had my Red Tractor assessment last week and failed as my slug pelleter is more than five years old and hasn't been tested - nothing that a £150 test won't sort out - but to my shame I wasn't even aware they should be tested now! Just a heads up to you all if, like me, you missed the law being passed.

The new rules on testing applicators were published at the time. Red Tractor were saying about this too, and their new standards are published online. It is no surprise to me.

I'm still waiting for SCS to come & test a Biodrill I mount on the rolls for sluggies. Everything else is either tested already or less than 5 years old.

As @Brisel says it has been known about for a while now, my inspection in Jan was the 2nd year that the rule has been in place. I know it's yet more ballache but it's all in the booklet online which it's worth reading every year as they do mark any new/changed rules so there isn't really an excuse. My inspector said out of the 50 people he had tested since early December I was only the 2nd who had read the updated booklet and done a rodent bait risk assessment!
