Slug pellets at drilling

We used to put them through the fine seed box on a Duncan drill like Kev's, but slugs seem to treat the drill like the M1...( not that I've been on the M1).
I think if we'd had a pelleter then that would have been the better bet, but at least they were on the ground, as farmers around here'd tend to get comfy on the couch and forget for ten days....:banghead::facepalm:

On top. As above, you want to attract them way from the seed if possible but if it turns dry the slugs will stay underground closer to the seed. Lots of strip tillers & no tillers put some down the spout with the seed where the risk is really high - my Claydon had a Stocks fitted for that purpose but so far it hasn't had any sluggies down it yet.

There's also the point that in wet weather the pellets will dissolve underground quicker than on top.

i dont belief it

Looking into putting a slug pellet applicator on the drill question is what happens to the pellets when you roll afterwards in dry conditions I roll with simba double press with rolls behind will the pellets be damaged?

No, but the pellets will have more soil in direct contact with the pellet, so it won't last as long if it turns wet. If it turns dry you'll have less slug pressure so I'd say you had both angles covered in the current climate (y)
