Does anyone routinely put slug pellets on wheat post drilling after rape or is it best just to wait to see if they are needed

Slug pressure is always extremely high after rape here- rarely even get any rape volunteers survive them, so routinely pellet pre-drilling and after also. If we don’t, we don’t have a wheat crop!

Only where the stubble was cultivated early and allowed to green up. Anything worked ahead of the drill has been ok. Osr sown has had a dose regardless and most of it has needed 2 doses this year.

If you have a green stubble often you can see slug damage in the volunteers/weeds beforehand to get a handle on numbers.
