Slug Pellets

After the biblical Rain, 230mm in the last 30 days. We now have a plague of slugs, particularly in wheat following rape that hasn't been rolled due to the wet. Is it me or do ferric phosphate pellets appear to be half as effective for twice the price of metaldehyde! My question is which brands are you all finding to be most effective? I am currently using Ferrex as they are competitively priced, spread well at 24 metres and last in the wet. Even at full rate I am having to reapply on a regular basis as they disappear.
