Slurry pit covers grant.

Don't know if it's national, or just around here, but we have been offered a substantial grant to put covers on our slurry pits, to contain the ammonia. We have got to get the form in by the end of the month. Just wondering if anyone else is considering it? We have below and above ground stores, 5 in total, but my biggest worry is how to mix them if we went ahead. The above ground stores can be fitted with a pernament PTO driven mixer, but at £2400 a store it sort of takes the icing off the cake.

If you stick a proper roof over the below ground ones i suppose you could put slats over it if you want and have another cattle shed
You'll have to wait at least 5 years if not longer to do that. You could risk doing it earlier but if you get caught you'll have to pay the grant back
