how shaley is it? You’d be amazed how little clay content you need. Infact too

Yes, farm up the road had a hell of a job, sent four samples in, all to much clay! Problem was solved when they “found” the right sample!
It‘s not shale, more rough sand / stone, liner will be cheaper than the clay, which is very liquid, got some in a plastic bag sitting on the island. Good for stress relief!
