Where there’s muck there’s money...

It can be painful... very painful... some days you’ll come home close too tears with nothing but your boxers on and a carrier bag full of soaking shitty clothes... other days you’ll come home with a smile on your face because youv watched an entire box set and not got out the cab all day... it’s not for the faint hearted

Best job going in my opinion when it’s going well

The thing that I find gets you sh!t up is segment reelers stood outside in the rain with sh!t flying off the pipes is no fun, I’m moving to all random wrap now with storz couplings so can sit on the tractor in the warm:D
If your buying a system try not to mess with second hand pipes there is nothing worse than patches moving, you can soon make a big mess, I had half new half second hand when I started and wish I’d just of borrowed more and had all new at least then you have no worries of patches moving when your learning the job.
you’ll soon learn not to pull a pipe round a gatepost ect when reeling up if it has any patches or in anything other than a straight line for that matter

Absolutely spot on 👌

Some of the time it’s finding staff to do the job as to why people give up, as lot of young lads prefer to be cruising countryside lanes than being covered in cack everyday. Also helps not being an A-hole as one local contractor found out and gave it up due to not being able to get anyone to drive for them.

How much capital is involved in getting this round? Do you have to buy his equipment? What is his current workload? It's a job that's hard to like, most issues result in you or your tractor or both getting plastered. Easy work for a tractor mechanically but cosmetically it takes it's toll on them. Good luck if you give it a go

I find my engine pump makes the job easy got control from the feild no shouting on the cb for the pump man but two people does make the job easier when you’ve got to drag pipes around yards ect
