Slurry Stores - buying advice

Hi all , i am keen to put a Slurry Store up as we require additional storage.

I know they are an awful lot of money new but i was wondering , i see second hand ones advertised from time to time , are they a viable option ?

Occasionally there seems to be some quite fresh looking ones come up for sale but i would worry about the long lasting ability of an already used one.

Also , i understand there are some firms who specialise in taking them down and putting them back up, is there anyone people that you recommend in Scotland ( im based in the far north ) .

I am ideally looking for a minimum 100,000-120,000 gallon tank up to 250,000 approx.

Thanks for any advice !

Yep I do it, but I have to certify that it has a design life of twenty years after re- erection; this always makes it a risky operation. I have even done one in your area, between Wick and John o' Groats.

Do you know what size you need? I might know of one, but transport could be the killer. I have given up buying them, but can give you a price to do all the work, and I keep a list of any I think worthwhile. I don't touch any that I have not taken down myself. The savings are nowhere near what you would expect from anything second hand, however, probably 15% compared to new.
