Slurry tank tyres

Is there much of a difference in thec quality between Nortec tyres (probably Russian) and bkt tyres for a slurry tank? My tyre man is getting me prices 2Moro but expects bkts to be double the price. Tyres are 800 r32.

Alliance here, they seem to run a bit wider than cheaper brands I’ve seen which is good in my eyes. 6 years old this year and still like new.

Alliance sell at least two different 800s plus 30.5 crossplys.
Not sure which type of 800 are on the 2000gal tanker I use occasionally but I couldn't complain about them and I know they are wider than what they replaced because the wheels had to be turned and spaced. Same contractor has a 2800 on the same Alliance tyres and although I haven't used it I haven't heard any complaints.
Of course any manufacturer could have the odd tyre that isn't perfect.

It depends on the load rating too. Aren’t most 181A8 now and anyone buying should aim for this rating at least ?

Ive 900 alliance tyres but the load rating went up a bit with the size so they hopefully should be stronger they are 191D:

Was told once that Russian ones were developed for a russian bomb carrier doing about 4 miles per hour with a handful of bombs on board, not hurtling about at the speed of light with a load of slurry

That’s about right. The 28.1’s were pretty much all Ukrainian

I hear of problems with Alliance tyres on tankers bad shape or splitting. I have them and so far can’t fault them, that all could change i suppose.

Would never have 800/65/32 Aliance on a tanker again, both tankers had them from new, both replaced with BKT

Dragging this up. Looks like I'm needing to replace my tanker tyres.
Need load rating of 181 getting prices on Monday. Tyre man mentioned alliance and ceat and I suggested bkt.
How are rating the bkt ?

Both tankers still on BKT with no issues.
Leaves less foot print than the tractor. All the tractors are on BKT as well. There probably are better tyres out there, but I’m more than happy with them 👍
