Slurry-Tec obe Tankers

Phone them direct.
Do they not buy end dish in, or if their machine is broken buy some from elsewhere to keep customers happy?

Slurrykat is about 5 mins from them!

Yes dish bought in. No communication since though.

Didn't occur to me to ring them tbh.
The deal is Me.....Dealer......Manufacturer. So that's the communication order isn't it?
Anyway I can't be doing with messers :ROFLMAO:

Had a chat with dealer today, he is going to try to get a straight answer out of them ? as to when it will actually be in his yard.
Non of this, it'll be with you next week nonsense.

Then based on that I will decide whether to progress with the order or not.

Hi,
Just to reiterate that we, Shanks Engineering, are not linked in any way to obe.
We only spoke once after they tried to get us booted out of the ploughing championships cos they thought we might be infringing on their patent, which we are not.
Sorry we won't be at the lamma show but feel free to give us a call. Noone else offers our two chamber system. Our tankers are top quality built only with top quality components.

Well the deal is still on rightly or wrongly.

Dealer got hold of the production manager.
Excuses still the same, dish machine broken that pushed the tank late and then into the Christmas shutdown.

Been given the 24th as a date it will be in the dealers yard at the latest.
If they miss that then dealer and I agree the machine will be cancelled. Even if it's in transit on that date.

As an aside he tells me this sort of thing is like a manufacturer common cold.
They can all be like this at one time or another and then the next time perfect. It's mainly poor communication.

For instance obe won't have sat on their hands when the dish machine broke. They probably got on and put some trailers together and those farmers and dealers will have got their stuff early and will have nothing but praise for them. While my experience is opposite.

Did the tanker ever arrive?

Long post apologies.
Well the January delivery date came and went.
The excuse that time was the galvanising machine was broken. They really need to look into machine replacement.
Anyhow, I was ready to cancel.
As a courtesy to the dealer only I agreed to their next delivery extension. Which was the 7th of February.

I'd heard nothing all week so had written the deal off.
Then the owner of the dealership landed up in the parlour just before 6.
Tells me he had been ringing them all week to try and sort it. I think he said there was over 40 attempts, with 20 of them being on Friday itself.

So he eventually gets a hold of them and basically says this tanker doesn't exist does it. He was told not only does it exist it's also finished and ready.
He then gets them to take a picture of it, and there it is.

Grand job he says, let's have it on a trailer and on the ferry tonight.
He was told can't do that as they have another tanker to paint yet to go on the same load.
Not a bloody chance says my chap and rings up some haulier he knows in the area and gets them to go and pick it up. Out of his own pocket.

So when he lands in the parlour, he tells me he now has possession of it and it should be on the ferry by 9pm and in his yard the some time in the morning. He had a mechanic ready to pdi it on Saturday and all being well I might just have it by tomorrow.
