Small drench gun

So routing through the old crap the previous owner of my place left behind I’ve found a little drench gun that would be ideal to use for lambs. It’s absolutely filthy and I don’t fancy trying to clean it up but it would be really useful to have. Looking around online I can’t seem to find anything classed as a lamb drench gun. So what should I be looking for? I’ve already got an Attacker 20ml one but the drench attachment is obvs average size.

I've a few of these, but red (could have been Cydectin branded originally?). pretty good and reliable. Easy to work on, too

Vecoxan guns are a nice size for lambs.

Edit. very similar to the ones in @Nithsdale Farmer's above.(and red too)

The amount of Vecoxan I've bought, never had no free gun :cautious:

I've seen those guns branded as Trodax with a needle end instead of dosing nozzle aswell... again in red.

I think any and every brand has had their name on them at some point (y)

Red ones were levacur aswell I think?
I had 2-3 but moved onto optiline/zolvix/fasinex guns now.

I've 2 useable red ones like the green one (and 2 broken down for spares). One with the lamb nozzle and one I adapted one to take the larger type nozzle.

For ewes I've a Downland 20ml gun;

That really is a brilliant gun, could be 10 years old now and it just keeps working without fault...

You're obviously not 'charming' enough with the girls behind the counter at *MVF/Carrs/Dumfries and Galloway equivalent

*delete as appropriate.

There's no girls work there**... well - 1, but she's as good as married and I'm a very long standing friend from YF days

**This is why I chase after breed society secretaries and start threads on here asking why XXX breed isn't more popular ;):censored::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

That's a Defender. Think it's made by Symcro.

Mine's older than yours. I had 2, but one was broken at the tube fitting end - knife slipped when removing gnawed tube - so will come for spares.

Vecoxan freeby is good for lambs, as is the Baycox one.

So it’s a lamb nozzle I need or a small gun? The one I found was a little red one. Just really gammy though, I don’t fancy using it. I’ll have a look through and see what I can find. Don’t want to spend a massive amount. My Attacker is a Quicktag product and no issues so far. Multi use attachments so used it for Clik and Fasinex. So maybe I’ll go for this green one.

MVF sells its own 15ml drencher that has a nozzle which looks as though it would be fine with lambs.
It would be easy for someone with larger hands than mine to use, I'd think.

Shearwell do a simple lamb gun of 10 ml or 12.5 ml.

Simply bearings do a fair range of o rings of different types and sizes.

Silicon oil or grease is good for lubrication without destroying o rings and not the stickiness of cooking oil .
